“It’s a bit of a time portal back to the days before AI and computer-generated artist impressions, when they had to build a display home to show people what it could look like.”

“It’s a double block so there’s quite a few possibilities with it,” Ms White said.
“I’d love to see the cottage preserved but that’s always up to the buyer. It could be considered a knock down, or it could be a great family home for a young couple with kids.”

REA Group data shows Nerang house prices were up 19.1 per cent over the past year to $1.13m, with the suburb having “well and truly shed its old reputation of being on the wrong side of the tracks”, Ms White said.
“The market is more discerning at the moment, but 138 Beaudesert Nerang Road is a slice of history.”
The property goes to auction on August 20.
